A Thanksgiving Celebration
hanks to a generous grant from the Legacy Heritage Fund, Gross Schechter Day School seventh and eighth grade students are participating in “Better Together,” an exciting year-long, inter-generational visitation program. As an extension to the program, students shared a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with Menorah Park residents. The Menorah Park seniors were warmly greeted by the school’s early childhood students prior to watching an Early Childhood Center Thanksgiving program consisting of songs and poems. Next, the seniors connected seventhand eighth-grade students to make “what I am thankful for” centerpieces. Finally, students and residents joined together to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast, creating a memorable experience for all. Pictured: Ari Sokol, David Israelstam, Thelma Speert and Zach Carno-Harf.
